Meet the Directors

 Jean Richard BSC, FICS– Non Executive Chairman

Jean Richards, in shipping since the early 70’s; she has a degree in mathematics and is a fellow of the institute of chartered shipbrokers.  She has wide experience of commercial shipping matters and has been involved in ownership and operations of many vessel types.  She has particular interest in fuel economics and in collection of data which will assist in voyage reporting and accounting.

She is a Director of Quantum Shipping Services Limited, a company offering commercial shipping advice and a Director of Cambridge Academy of Transport a company specializing in providing education across the Industry.

John Colson – Managing Director

John is a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel with 14 years successful commercial and business development experience in the Facilities Management field.  Before joining Datatrac he acted as Business Development Director for a leading FM Company.  His military experience includes command appointments as well as general, technical and diplomatic staff  appointments.

 Edwin Crockford - Technical Director

Edwin has an MA, Electrical Science (Cambridge University), and has many years experience in the IT industry, performing a number of roles and responsibilities. Initially as a software engineer and then taking on wide ranging management and business analysis roles. For the last 15 years he has worked in the City of London and other major financial centres, delivering a number of projects, large and small, for a variety of investment banks, media companies and governement agencies.
